2nd Shift CNC Shop Supervisor Contract To Hire

PrideNow is hiring a 2nd shift CNC Supervisor! This is a contract to hire role with our aerospace client in Dearborn Heights, MI 48125. This is a great opportunity for a strong CNC Machinist/Programmer/Supervisor who is ready to step into a management role.

Pay Rate: $30-$34/hour based on experience

Shift: 2^nd Shift- 3:30pm-2:00am

Job Duties:

• The CNC Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and will assist in the management of the CNC Department
• Must be able to work train and mentor hourly workers, and work cooperatively with owners and other management
• Scheduling the shifts of operation of the department
• Inventory Data Reporting
• Ensure employees are properly trained to fulfill their duties
• Develops policy, directs, and coordinates safety activities in relation to OSHA
• Ensures all company policies, procedures and forms comply with Federal, State, and Municipal employment rules, regulations, and laws
• Ensures effective quality inspection machine side
• Ensure all processing is done on a timely and cost-effective basis

 Requirements:

• Quality Assurance experience required
• AS9100 / ISO 9001 experience preferred
• Knowledge of Safety protocols
• Smart scheduling and scheduling forecasting experience
• Knowledge of “exotic metals, like titanium
• Heat treat, and plating experience preferred
• Lean Manufacturing, PPAP, QAD, etc.
• Strong communication skills

Required Experience:

• CNC setup and programming experience
• Machines used: Citizens, Mori Seiki, and Doosan
• Software (programming at a computer, not just editing at the machine): MasterCam, Doosan, and Citizen (Esprit experience is a big plus)
• Manufacturing experience required
• Aerospace experience is strongly preferred
• Organizational and leadership experience required
